Re: Your expectations for 26 season?

The weaknesses in our team, will hinder our efforts against the better teams. I’m leaning to a poor start before we rebound some the second half. We are looking at a Top 10 pick and good chance a completely new regime in 27.

See as an outsider I think your team might struggle a little early but I see you guys as a 10 win team possible wild card. While the Giants IMO will be better they aren't there yet. I also feel either Dallas or Philly will implode just not sure which one it will be.

I expect a 10 point Eagles win but game will be close since it’s week one and a divisional opponent. Say, 23-13 Eagles. They stay a step ahead of us and we can’t overcome that.

My final 2026 Commanders prediction:

W1- 9/13: @ Eagles — We lose by 10 points. : 0-1
W2- 9/20: @ Cowboys — I expect we lose a shootout. : 0-2
W3- 9/27: Seahawks — We lose by 14 points. : 0-3
W4- 10/4: Colts (@ London) — We are flat & Danny Dimes bites us again. : 0-4
W5- 10/11: Giants — Finally, a win. : 1-4
W6- 10/19: @ 49ers- MNF — Another loss. : 1-5
W7- 10/25: Bye
W8- 11/1:Eagles- SNF — Eagles sweep us. : 1-6
W9: 11/8: Rams — Blowout loss. : 1-7
W10- 11/12: @ Giants- TNF — Upset loss. : 1-8

Dan Quinn is fired. Anthony Lynn is named interim coach, since he has previous head coaching experience.

W11- 11/23: Bengals- MNF — Upset Win. : 2-8
W12- 11/29: @ Cardinals — Win: 3-8
W13- 12/6: @ Titans — Win: 4-8
W14- 12/13: Texans — Loss. : 4-9
W15- 12/20: Falcons — Win: 5-9
W16- TBD: Vikings — Win: 6-9
W17- TBD: @ Jaguars — Loss: 6-10
W18- TBD: Cowboys — Win: 7-10

Just an ugly start that leads to Dan’s firing but we rebound some by finishing 6-2, after starting 1-8. We beat Dallas, whether their starters play or not in the finale.

I think AP should go but Josh keeps AP and gives him a second chance and shot at second coaching hire.

I feel you on this one. If we stay relatively healthy (for this team, that's such a big if), I think we sneak one of the first three games for no reason. I think Philly might look past us, so I think we're 1-2 going into the Colts game. That game is such a toss up to me, I have us winning a close one. Beyond that, no one in the NFC(E) is so dominant that I can't see us shitting the bed consistently enough to be nothing less than a wildcard contender. Defense should be improved, we have some better skill players on offense (looking at you Diggs/Williams) so if we keep JD upright, we've got a shot.

AP has lost his luster for me too. He started off SO well and has just trailed off with some questionable moves the past few seasons. Overall, he's fine, but I really thought he was the guy.

his drafting is not much better RR and that is super scary

I wouldn’t say that. RR drafted multiple first rounders that aren’t even on a team or who have been at best average players. Jamin Davis, Jahan Dotson, and Emmanuel Forbes were unforgivable picks. Chase was expected by pretty much everyone to be great and had a good room one year, but injury + unwillingness to do anything more than rely on innate talent was his doom. RR may be one of the worst talent evaluators ever.

Re: Your expectations for 26 season?

I don't see us winning more than 7 games. DQ fired maybe during the season. AP possibly fired as well

Re: Your expectations for 26 season?

The reality is that with so little starter time shown in the preseason, we really have no idea what we are going to get when the seasons starts. Worried about the O line and secondary, but if they hold the Eagles in check, a lot of our current hand wringing may feel unnecessary.

If we were at full strength in both, I like our chances to surprise people this season. And perhaps we still might although not having Tunsil and Amos is going to sting.

Can’t wait for the season to start.
