Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I've always had a soft spot for older, funny movies. I needed something, anything after our mess in Dallas yesterday. Watched John Candy in Summer Rental. Some funny scenes and Candy is always entertaining. Definitely not his best but not a terrible way to spend 1.5 hours.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Just watched Uncle Buck. Good for a few laughs here and there but not my fav John Candy movie. As always, Candy plays his role well as a very fun, crazy uncle taking care of kids.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Saw Tom Cruise’s new movie, Digger.
Tom plays actor portraying Digger Rockwell in a play. The movie goes thru the different acts of the play. I’m still not Sure what the movie was about. Was it a bio on the fictional Digger Rockwell? Was it about the events that was portrayed in this play? A dark comedy commentary On potential real life scenarios? I give it a 7.5/10. Hell, I didn’t even realize that John Goodman was playing one of the main characters. Definitely a different movie for Tom. |
