You must be looking at a different column than I saw. The column I saw in The Post took up maybe one-fifth of a page. As TK says "a columnette".

This is a sarcstic response to a sarcastic TK column. Sarcastic back-and-forth banter is not being a jerk, it's humor, not meant to be taken seriously. I also live around here and took it for what it was, a humorous dig at DC & the skins, just like the humorous dig TK took at Seattle & the hags.
