Well, he is familiar with that scheme. Lewis sure likes those ex-Skins.

Hmmm, Lewis is putting together our 2002 defense in Cincy.

that defense was very productive under Lewis. He will be putting it together without Lavar, Champ, etc... though.
Lewis is definitly taking that team in the right direction. The only mistake I think he made was draftign Palmer. I think he shold have traded down a few sports and taken Terrance Newman. He almost drafted Newman 1st overall. I dont think Palmer will be that great of a QB, and expecially after Kitnas year last year it proved he could have waited on a QB.

I like Palmer, the only thing I have a problem with is the way they casted aside Kitna after a great season. I guess we'll see if Palmer is ready, if he struggles and Lewis really is committed to him through thick and thin, a nasty QB controversy could be in the works.

A little surprising. I thought Trotter didn't work well in Lewis' system, He had difficulty staying on his assignments.
I still bet he ends up in Seattle, where Rhodes knows how to utilize his strengths |

I think Seattle would be a better fit for him as well. But the Bengals have had such a hard time getting the players they want its not surprising that they are going after him.

Trotter was starting to come on strong before he blew his knee out against Dallas. Lewis runs a difficult scheme to pick up on especially for someone like Trotter who was used to an attacking style of defense.

I think Trotter will do well in Lewis' scheme.
He still has several good years left, and most players don't rebound fully until a full year has passed after an ACL tear. |

It would not surprise me if the Pats had Trotter in for "talks" and a workout. If any kind of bidding war starts omong the Bengals/Giants/Seahawks, I'd expect the Pats to bow out very quickly. But if you are talking about a contract that is in the neighborhood of a "vet's league minimum", don't be surprised to hear that New England is in the mix
