The NFL would never go for it. Publicly, the NFL *thinks* of the CFL as a developmental league and doesn’t have NFL caliber players. To have NFL players playing CFL players would invalidate that perception…not only that but they’d be advertising the CFL by playing them.
I doubt the CFL’s best player can go toe to toe with the NFL’s best. They’d get a good thrashing. Can the CFL's best beat USC or Texas? I'm not sure!
