I heard that Wistrom is almost certainly going to KC. He could be the Chiefs' "first day signing".

Has anyone heard the actual amount the contract is worth? I've only read that its five years in length and I find it hard to believe his price is anywhere near the $3 million mark like another member posting seemed to believe. that was the salary he was to make before being cut and the skins aren't picking up his old contract if I'm not mistaken. Who do you guys wish we go for as our pass rusher: Kearse or Barry? I don't know anything about barry except that someone posted that he had 11.5 sacks last year. anyone know his age, height, weight, reported work habit, and his injury record?

I just heard on ESPNNews that M. Wiley of the Chargers got cut and was wondering if anyone other than myself thinks we should try to sign him. He's a good, consistent player who would come cheaper than kearse or Barry even though I like the idea of Barry signing here.

With only about $7 mil in cap room left at this point, once we pick up a boatload of defensive players and a tight end, especially if we sign some bigger names like Kearse, what are the odds that we'll have enough left over to draft someone like Sean Taylor? For you cap specialists, *elbows Canuck* how much cap room do you think we'd need in order to get Taylor signed?

The rookie cap is a seperate pool that's determined by some sort of formula that takes into account the number of picks a team has and what rounds players are taken in. At least that's what I understand it to be, can anyone else confirm this?

Yep, something like that. I wouldn't worry about signing our draft picks (pick?) - keeping them 2-3 years down the line could be a problem.

I think, considering Daniels can play DE too, if they sign Kearse or Wistrom, they won't go after another DE. They'll stick with Wynn and concentrate on getting a DT or 2 (Robaire Smith?) a LB or 2 (the guy from the Giants or Washington from the Colts?) and a safety - possibly drafting Taylor.

After all apart from TE (FA?) what else do we need?
