Ravens shopping Ray Lewis?

They tried to trade him before last season and couldn't get anything better than a 2nd round draft pick offered for him. It had nothing to do with the contract the team would be getting with him, its the fact he wanted "peyton manning type money" and no one is gonna pay him that at this time in his career.

He was great a few years ago, but in recent years he's an undersized middle linebacker with several injuries in recent years, and he isn't the highlight reel he used to be. Think about it, how often was he shown this season...and its not just because the ravens were losing. Folks still talk about him like he's the greatest, but they are talking about the Lewis from 3 or 5 years ago.

Well, thats my .02 but I think you got ripped off. Basically, he wants out because he wants huge money, and no one is gonna pay huge money to a guy they picked up for a 2nd round draft pick.
