Per ESPN, the moves saves us $4.2 million in cap room this year, as he forfeited $4.2 million in guarantees. That means the bonuses that were accelerated to the 2006 season were reduced by $4.2 million.

Smart move for the Skins. That means before any restructures, we're $16 million over the cap. After Brunell, Portis, Thomas, Jansen, Wynn, and Springs restructured, we should be able to get under the cap just by releasing our bums (Bowen, Harris, Noble, etc).
