watch out for small cops in integras. I got into a pissing match with him and we pulled off the road. I jumped out and he tried to arrest me for failure to yield. he was only 5'5 or something, so he REALLY had that little man complex!

C'mon. We all know we're really rooting for the Washington Arringtons, not the Washington Redskins.

That's what happend when we keep talking about LaVar, far too many LaVar threads. The more threads started, the more animated they become. Why can't we just have ONE LaVar thread and stop at that?

Actually, I did have the Virginia Washington Redskins personalized plates with "LAVAR" on them. Seriously.

So is Lavar playing the role of Mommy or Daddy?

now thats something we all can agree on .

me i don,t go buy jerseys just for that reason. i have a jersey former redskin retired #44 riggo ...it,s the buisness side of football that gets in the way but for me it,s all about the team.

i don,t spend time pissing and moaning myself.
we all agree on one thing we agree to disagree....

You don't try to make things work just for keeping up fan relations. That would be seriously misplacing your priorities. We cut Arrington because his cap room helps the team more than keeping him would. That's management's way of doing what it takes to win more games. That should be the fans' #1 priority, wins. Not relations with a certain player, or the marketability of that player.

I get the feeling that Lavar's release has angered a lot of people solely because they purchased his jersey, and now they feel like their purchase is worthless. And if that's the case, I'd say to those people that they need to get their priorities straight.
Arrington didn't get cut because of the cap. The cap is merely a benefit of the cut, not a reason for it. Many will argue that he didn't even get cut for football reasons -- the relationship was broken and couldn't be fixed.

I don't own a #56 (#28 & #44 only) and the people I know who are most upset about this don't own any gear at all.

You are talking about a player that people went nuts for when he walked on the field. This is the guy who knocked Clay Aikman into the broadcast booth. This is a guy whose picture is next to the word enthusiasm in the dictionary.

It's like the Sopranos. Sometimes, somebody we all like has to get wacked. It's sad and unfortunate, but sometimes it has to happen and I actually agree it had to happen in this case. But instead of taking him out in the woods, they did him right in front of his family.

But the #56 issue isn't my big problem with Skins management. Most of my heart burn has to do with a whole host of different ways that we as fans are treated like sheep that need to be sheared rather than loyal customers.

Clay Aikman? Troy Aikman and Clay Aiken's love child?

Okay, maybe I crossed the line by merging the names of a couple of guys who badly need to come out of the closet. ;-)
