Warpath & NFL Network vs Adelphia Cable

This is a help message being sent out to all my Warpath brethren. I recently moved to an area that has Adelphia cable instead of Comcast. The problem I am having is that Adelphia doesn't have the NFL Network. WTF?! I have called and requested the channel be added but they just say it's a service they don't provide right now. I was hoping to get any and every one to help me flood there support site with request to add the channel before this upcoming season starts. The steps to request the station are as follows: 1. Go to http://nfl.viewerlink.tv/ 2. Click Adelphia from the drop down box 3. Enter name, email address and zip code ( 21157 ) 4. Continue to next screen that shows generic letter sent to Adelphia. I hope they succumb to pressures of Redskin fans and our power of emailing!!! Thanks in advance to everyone for helping me out!!!

Adelphia will soon be Comcast in your area. Maybe even before September.

DirecTV has NFL Network.

It might be based on zipcodes because if you enter my zipcode (21157) into the field it says NFL Network isn't avaliable. Also when I call the customer care they just say they don't offer it but I guess I shouldn't expect customer care to care about the customer.

Comcast & TimeWarner bought Adelphia last year. They are going to split up the service area among themselves, with the DC area Adelphia franchises going to Comcast. I don't know when this is going to be finalized (ie the name on the trucks change), but I've heard rumblings about it happening this summer.

This may not even affect the NFL Network availability, though. I typed some random zips into the Adelphia channel lineup web app and it looks like about half have NFL Network and about half don't.

I pounded Time Warner with emails and a few phone calls for about a year to no avail.

The first thing I did when I bought my house was get DirecTV hooked up, peace out digital cable, hello NFL Network, hello NFL Sunday Ticket!!

The more I think about it the more likely I am to switch to DirecTV myself. It seems to be what has helped out all that have been let out in the cold by their cable providers.

It is painful!!! No matter if they step up to the plate or not I am seriously looking into the DirecTV option.

Re: Warpath & NFL Network vs Adelphia Cable

I feel you. I just moved to Martinsburg WV about a month ago, and besides the fact that it was like pulling teeth to get my internet and cable hooked up I've been pleased with them.

I understand that they offer the NFL Network in most areas, but not yet in mine, which sucks a donkey ass. I got sick of Directv and getting lied to about having HDTV when as it turned out I got sold the wrong equipment and they wanted me to buy all new shit for the HD services.

Then they fail to tell you how bad their internet service actually blows... and how pricey it is. I didn't get duped by that when I lived in the country in Amissville, but I had friends who did and Directv really left a bad taste in my mouth with all that nonsense.

I hope we adelphites start getting NFL network soon.

So does Dish Network, which I prefer to DirecTV.

Either sat service is better and cheaper than cable anyways.

Re: Warpath & NFL Network vs Adelphia Cable

Comcast's franchise agreements with most of what will soon be the former Adelphia territories should be finalized in the next month or so, and the official switch-over should take place sometime in June. Assuming everything stays on track, current Adelphia subscribers should have access to NFL Network via Comcast Digital Cable before training camps begin in July.
