The Office Stomach Bug...

Don't you just love it when you work in an office where your co-workers start coming down with a stomach virus? So far, 3 people have either gone home, or been running into the bathroom to kiss the porcelain god, yacking up lunch.

Anyone know if the stomach virus is airborne ? I always thought it only traveled by touch, you know, if you touch a doorknob or lightswitch that an infected person touched, and then eat something without washing your hands. Am I right on that? I hope so.

I've always been a germaphobe -- so needless to say I've been using those personal hand sanitizers like crazy. I'd also like it if more people who are sick GO THE HELL HOME AND DON'T RISK INFECTING ANYONE ELSE. I mean why try to be a hero?

Anybody else with me on this?

Beem - take a herbal supplement called AIRBORNE now!!!! It helps build up your immune system when in high traffic infected areas. I take it all the time before getting on a plane and I have yet to get sick since doing so.

Thanks, I've heard of AIRBORNE. Haven't tried it yet. But like I said, I've always thought things like colds and flu are airborne, through sneezing and coughing. But stomach viruses? Maybe I should play it safe and take it just in case. I'm also on the Centrum one-a-day chewable vitamins. That's also supposed to help boost your immune system.

Anyone else have any tips?

The hand sanitizer actually works against you if you use it too much. It helps let your immune system chill and when you do get a bug it can't initially fight it well. Germs are actually mostly good because they strengthen your immune sytem.

In this case though using the sanitizer is the way to go.

Wash your hands a TON, as was stated. But I will also throw in my recommendation for the product AIRBORNE. Its really good stuff.
