Wow. Duke Lacrosse season called off

Duke was ranked second in the pre-season ranks but I am sure everyone has heard of this disgusting story of the lax players raping some woman they hired for entertainment for a party.

This is a huge blow. I hate duke but that is unimportant. How fucking dumb do you have to be to try and pull shit like this when you are among the nations top teams and top universities. The kid who did it deserves to rot in jail but the rest of his team, his coach, and his university are being punished. Dumb shit.

The only way duke could beat the UMD girls is if they put their lax players on the court....

this has gotten so much press down there. Someone at my workplace commutes from NC to here and he was talking about how bad it was in North Carolina. This was starting to pick up race arguements. The girl is from a prodominately african american state college and Duke is the rich white ass capital of America. Some in the community were bringing race into the situation and the negitive press for Duke was unreal so I guess they had to do something.

could have stopped it all beforehand by going summer camp incident on them...

get everyone in one room, take them one by one for interviews about what they know, and no one leaves or is allowed to sleep till it done.

Tell them ahead of time (in the big room) that they're allowed lawyers and don't need to answer, but someone is going to talk, and if no one does, EVERYONE'S scholarships on the entire team are null and void.

don't wait till like three weeks later to start by calling the incident unfortunate and finally stopping practice due to what appears to be outside pressure... that's why this thing i getting a bit out of hand.
