Re: From a financial standpoint, doesn't Campbell need to play this year?
play him in mop up situations only, unless he is better than brunell right now. play the better guy, dont base it on draft position or what we gave up to get him. rushing an unready QB is not good

Re: From a financial standpoint, doesn't Campbell need to play this year?
While Brunell isn't spectacular he got the Job done last year. I'd rather keep him in the lineup then inserting a sophomore who hasn't played a down in the regular season. I mean, if Campbell could win now he would be in there. A playoff contender like the Redskins don't need QB shuffling.
p.s. You don't start a player just because you're paying him, you star him because he can play and play well for you.

Re: From a financial standpoint, doesn't Campbell need to play this year?
Campbell will play in the preseason with the starting lineup and play cleanup. We will see how good he is. Brunell is the starter until old timers disease sets in. Joe would not have taken Jason in the first round unless he was worth it. We did not spend 2 first rounders on Jason. You do play talent over the contract ie Gus over Heath. Riggo was drunk. My wife is on the rag and I can count on not getting laid for one week, and there is only one thing that I do not know. What in the hell is the answer to question 3? Or better yet I don't even remember what question three was.

Salary means nothing to the Redskins.

Sorry, I had to resurrect this thread because I'm still dying for an answer to TAFKAS's and my question.

It was good hearing from Gibbs yesterday that Campbell is where we need him to be.
