I just want to get something straight you're saying Was will have the best record at season ends right? your calling it by saying Was will have the best record and home field advantage right?

is so I have to make some adjustments to my list ot whom I believe will make it..... and if so you want to put something on it?.

Well, actually that list was supposed to be my power rankings as of right now. I don't necessarily think thats how the teams will end up at the end of the year, but if one excludes injury and schedule (the two most important factors in football), that is what I think it will be.

Independant of that list, I do believe that Washington will have the first seed in the NFC at 13-3. If you (or anyone) wants to go on the record with divisonal picks/conference seeding/weekly picks against me from now until the season, feel free to PM me and we can consider putting something on it. I do believe most of us here have a great deal of self pride, so bragging rights would make it interesting enough.

But if you consider yourself a gambling man, I feel that we could work something out.

Re: Preseason NFC Rankings: Trailing the Giants and Cowboys?

Redskins>Dallas
The giants>Dallas
I don't know who is better b/w the skins and giants. Their QB is higher profile, their TE is great, their RB is amazing, their front 7 is AMAZING. WE have better WRs and a better DBs but our running back is just one of the best in the league and Cooley is amazing. Brunell plays as well as Eli does and our front 7 is strong but is nothing copared to theirs. Our coaches hopefully can make a difference but the 'boys are in for a rude awakening.

TO is NOT going to make this team a super bowl contender. Dallas maybe could win the division if they played in the north or the west but they fail to remember that this is the beast and as far as I am concerned they could very well be last in the division at the end.

look at the teams Redskins vs. Dallas

QB- Push
Oline- SKINS
RB-SKINS
TE- Push counting cooley as our TE
WRs- Lets go with a PUSH

Defense
Dline- SKINS
LBS-SKins
DBs- THe best saftey combo plus a top 10 pick and proven leader on the team SKINS.

I don't see how the boy's are better. They beat us in kicking but our return game with ARE is far greater.

Coaching staff- The skins have the greatest coaching staff in the history of the NFL. THat is not even being exaggerated. One could fairly easily argue Williams is the best D-cordinator in the league, also it wouldn't be hard to say that AS is the best O-cordinator in the league with his consistant top 5 rankings and often number 1s. WHat the fuck more would a team want? O lets just put in a HOF Coach with three rings and amazing playoff record into the mix.

TO is not going to make the team amazing, THAT is a Dan snyder move. We made A LOT of moves over the offseason but none were crazy high profile. We did it joe gibbs way and not Danny boy's. Jerry Jones took a page out of the 2000 skins' playbook and got TO. TO is going to be good but not one player in this league can completely change a team. I am not scared of that WR corp to be honest. Our DBs are going to have it easy. If they had kept Key then maybe I would be like fuck but they didn't so they exchanged a semi-crazy good receiver with a metally fucking insane d-bag that is a crazy good receiver.

Overall our pass game is better, our run game is better, our run stop is better, our pass D is better, our coaching staff is better, our home field advantage is better, we are better, and that 35-7 game will not reverse itself due to one player expecially when we adressed our needs as well.

TOs rap song has shown that he isn't any different.
“To the haters that said I wouldn't get my money. I'm laughing in your face. Ha! Ha! That's funny... Some said I was going to sign just a one year deal, what i got what I wanted 10 mill a year"-- and the cowboys were the only stupid team to offer TO more than he would make if he had somehow been able to stay with the eagles. To pay TO more after he did what he did is beyond stupid. Jerry Jones is an idiot and for the respect I have for the tuna i hope he didn't want this trade like some say because if he did he is desperate to win one without belichick.

BSB has got his popcorn ready.

Re: Preseason NFC Rankings: Trailing the Giants and Cowboys?

This was a quote in PFW from scouts, GMS, coaches, speaking on basis of anonymity.......

"Washington has gotten better. There are not many holes on that roster. They are knocking on the door (to Superbowl)"..............

But there was another comment I found interesting.....it said that Greg Williams thought he was "the man" to succeed Gibbs, but now with the addition of Al Saunders, Williams is a bit ticked, and now there seems to be some infighting between the coaches on offense and defense which could split the team. Any Redskin fans in the local area hear anything about this?..........

Re: Preseason NFC Rankings: Trailing the Giants and Cowboys?

Man I believe it just horse shit is like when bill came to dallas everyone (media) said that he wouldn't last a year becasue of jerry and are allways tryng to make conflict between them see TO signing....

I believe it's just a reporter trying to make a story where it isn't for you to say ooohhh ahhhh.

The only conflict I could see is if they also prommised Sauders a chance to be the next HC once Gibbs steps down we all know Williams and Sauders whant's a chance to be a HC, and that the reason (besides the money) that williams stay with the redskins is that Snyder offered him the HC job once Gibbs steps down (there's apperently a clause in hsi contract that snyder would pay him 1mill if he doesn't give the job to williams once it comes available).

And I believe Sauders new all this before he signed with you guys the way I see it is that Sauders wanted out of KC because he wasn't consider for the HC job and see Was as a chance to prove his system can work in another team and is postulling for a HC job in another team for next year.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with a Boyz fan about something...but I do agree with you about Saunders......I thought he took the Redskin gig to bide his time until another head coaching position became available (and not necessarily the Redskins HC job)......so this report kind of surprised me, course the media could be spurring this Non-story just because of their dislike of Snyder and the Redskins...they love to be negative when it comes to the Skins.....

Re: Preseason NFC Rankings: Trailing the Giants and Cowboys?

saunders obviously knew that GW was going to get the job. GW was promised it before and he has a clause in his contract. Saunders bacially left KC because they hired herm. He has a right to be offended. WTF, Edwards? That whole deal is shady and dishonest. Herm had a contract with the jets, he should have finished it. That job should have been Saunders but they gave it to herm, that means their loss is the redskins gain.

Yup , usally that team was bad the year before not a playoff team ,my guess this year would be Detrot ,or even the Cardinals .

Charles Robinson deserves some props for breaking the Reggie Bush story way back when. That's good journalism. As for the list, I disagree with it in a few spots, but it's more based in reality then I would expect an "expert's" to be.

wow I can agree with Cardinals even thought the media has predicted their turnaround for 2 years now yea James brings a different edge to the offense but the basis of their problems is Oline and consistency, but Detroit there's another group that the media has named the next big thing but the hole team is a bunch of underachiever of 3 first round wr only R.williams has shown flashes of greatness, and K.Jones has been a big bust and really you thibk Kidna can take them to the playoffs?
