Burgundy Army: Missed the offseason?
Slept through the offseason? Allow them to catch you up.
This article took a lot of work and research, but I'm proud and honored to present to you my recap of the offseason, through the eyes of online sportswriters. This piece is meant to be comical to a degree, and to make light of some of the interesting stuff sportswriters say when groupthink takes charge. Understand that my tone is one of sarcasm at many points in the article, and of honesty in others. It's not an easy read by any means. It's also a bit controversial, because to do this, I have to put myself on a pedestal and mock people who have been covering the NFL longer than I have been living. But it's generally in good fun, and Pete Prisco for one deserves it. Be sure to check out any of the links for more information. Enjoy and discuss. Training camp is upon us ladies and gentlemen! |

Re: Burgundy Army: Missed the offseason?
Good read, another point you can bring up is how the contracts are structured, in respond to the "overpaying" argument. Also a bit about the Salisbury deal would be nice, and how Gibbs called him out lol. But good read.

Re: Burgundy Army: Missed the offseason?
i kinda wish it was more about the offseason and less about bashing prisco every single sentence. (who cares what he thinks anyways). It just makes his opinion seem more important than anyone else's.
he was right about the 20 rookies comment though. without a new cba, we would have had to go that route. Everyone keeps quoting it out of context though. |

Re: Burgundy Army: Missed the offseason?
good job GTripp!! i can tell you put a good deal of thought and time into that peice.
and i too think DR. Z is an ass. his arguement of 'everybody else is saying it so it must be fact' is something a idiot would say. he doesnt try to back up his picks with logical arguements but chooses to go along with the majority(many of who are as ignorant as he is). |
