Another Poll: Who is most deserving of the HoF

I have never understood why sports writters vote for any HOF rather than the coaches and players who competed against them or the people already in the HOF....seems to me writters are the least qualified yet they get the vote. I dont get it.

Art Monk belongs in the HOF. Darrell Green belongs in the HOF. If Tony Boselli(this one to me is a joke) gets in then Joe Jacoby and Russ Grimm belong in the HOF. Multiple time Super Bowl winners who also played in the ProBowl vs. a guy who made a number of Pro Bowls and got alot of hype but was hurt all the time and never won anything. Give me a break.

Again why are writters qualified to pass the ultimate judgement?
