Speaking of that, did you see that quote in the Washington Post?

"He's not where we want him," Lindsey said. "Robert turned out to be a good special teams players last year, and if you're a backup linebacker here we expect you to be good in that area. But we expect him to rise this year when he's playing middle linebacker. And right now, I don't see him where we want him, and I'm not taking the blame for that."

I wonder why he felt the need to basically say "ain't my fault he can't play"

Kinda hard to make judgements about anyone even after 4 preseason games. Much easier after 1 regular season game.

Re: Mike Espy/Spencer Havner

This is from B. Lloyd's latest blog entry:

"Here are some rookies and first-year guys I'm going to keep an eye on: Mike Espy (No. 11), Jesse Lumsden (No. 37), Rocky McIntosh (No. 52), Dimitri Patterson (No. 34), John Eubanks (No. 31). These guys are having an awesome camp, and I look forward to seeing their improvement."

Re: Mike Espy/Spencer Havner

dale has called out LBs publicly before. i'm not really sure what his deal is, but i don't think you're supposed to be that honest when guys aren't doing well.

i REALLY like lloyds journal thing. whoever thought of that, it was a great idea.

Re: Mike Espy/Spencer Havner

Lloyd's journal is awesome. As for Lindsey, it's almost like someone has been blaming him. I got the feeling like someone behind closed doors, Williams maybe, was like "Dale, you've got to do a better job teaching McCune." And he's thinking "I've done enough"

I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it

Re: Mike Espy/Spencer Havner

I would like to see Espy and Lumsden make the team or atleast the PS as of now. I am saying this on the dawn the pre-season games, and that thought could change once they play pre-season. But as of now I wouldnt mind seeing them on the team...
