Re: Panic button poll
I'm not worried, but last nights game has dampened my enthusiasm a bit. I firmly believe preseason is complete crap and no indicator of anything in the regular season.
BUT, a 41-0 pounding just doesn't sit well. I know the gameplan is limited, the playbook is limited, all that stuff. But we just looked BAD last night. No heart, no drive, no enthusiasm - the entire team was outplayed. Outplayed as a team, outplayed man to man. Does that mean the sky is falling and we're doomed to be the bottom-feeders of the NFC East? Of course not. Other teams I've watched in the preseason have looked good (Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Indianapolis, etc.) I'm not talking their win-loss record, I'm talking the play of the starters. They look quick, sharp, efficient and in control. Frankly the 'Skins last night look completely befuddled - like no one knew what was going on, and on every side of the ball. I'm not crying myself to sleep or worrying myself sick, but it does make you wonder how a team with as much player and coach talent as we have end up getting humiliated 41-0, even if it was a meaningless game.
