Dallas trading Owens for Branch is simply ludicrus. Not from the player standpoint, but from the business standpoint.
If traded Dallas would have to renegotiate the remaining ONE year on Branchs contract. No problem but.....NE would have to renegotiate the remiaining FIVE years on Owens contract. Not to mention Owens has not practices or played because of a hamstring problem. Do you think he would pass a physical? From the business standpoint, it does not make any sense at all. |

The trade isn't Owens for Branch. It's release TO before the season starts, saving them $5 million and then use that $5 million to help them go after Branch. It will take a lot more than $5 million for Branch, but that's the basic jist.

On SC they just said, T.O.'s excuse for not showing up to the rehab was because he overslept.
