The Sooners are sore Losers
FOX Sports - COLLEGE FOOTBALL - Pac-10 suspends officials for one game
....YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!! OU HAD A CHANCE TO WIN THAT GAME WITH A FIELD GOAL...OREGON 1up'd them and now they want it removed from the RECORD BOOK NO OFFENSE TO ANY OU FAN BUT THAT IS BEING A SORE FRIGGIN LOSER! If thats the case why don't the Redskins call for games where the refs made bad calls against us back!?!? Am I the only one that thinks the Sooners are being sore losers!?!? Who else watched that game? I know im not alone here (actually I tivo'd it I had a game at that hour too LOL) |

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
they've got a legitimate beef cuz not one but 2 replays were botched that allowed Oregon the opportunity to take the lead. I don't think the lose should be removed but I also don't think the writers and coaches should count it as a loss if Oklahoma somehow wins the rest of their games. Those kids shouldn't be punished cuz the replay official wasn't given the same video footage that everyone else saw at home. all around it was a pretty big screwup but it's not the end of the world like some OU fans & staff r making it out to be.

On a off topic note there was some questionable calls in all divisions last week!!!! Now you guys tell me if this was questionable on defense last week I was in at free saftey the other team ran a sweep play that got alot 32 yards and I got a great hit (you know it was a good one when the coach nods his head despite the fact you got called for a penalty) I got called for unnescesary roughness cause supposedly the RB was already outta bounds....I didn't hear a whistle what do you guys think was I wrong!?!? |

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
The refs are allowed to make mistakes on the field, but the instant replay guys should have had the right calls... not only did the oregon player touch the ball before the sooner did, but the oklahoma guy recovered it. It was a pretty egregious mistake.
At the same time, I think the OU staff and administration are taking this a bit far. When the damn president of the university sends a letter crying conspiracy, then it's time to take a step back... like isn't the president suppose to focus on menial things, such as maybe... academics and research direction??? Also, the OU response isn't really quelling the fanbase at all- these refs and instant replay guys are getting death threats... it's just a freakin' game! During last season's Rose Bowl, Vince Young obviously made an illegal forward lateral(knee on the ground) that directly led to a score. Now this is the national championship game that we're talking about. Yet you didn't hear the Trojan nation or Pete Carroll asking for Texas to return the crystal. We've moved on and so should OU. |

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
They got royally screwed. I would be upset too. The officials in that game were just horrendous...I'm not saying they had money on the game per say but they blatantly and willfully made sure OU didn't win the game. My take is officials should be managed directly by the NCAA not by conferences.

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
Well Texas Tech got screwed big time last year against none other than Oklahoma and they got the victory then. Bobby Knight came out and said today "Had Oklahoma forfeited that game against us like I suggested, they would have gotten far more positive publicity out of that than if they had gone to the Final Four that year. Now I guess the 'duck' is swimming in the other pond." So they have no reason to talk. Suck it up and move on!!!

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
If they had scored more points or made some defensive stops, the bad calls would not have cost them the game.
Yes, I said the same thing about Alstott's magically growing elbow too. |

Re: The Sooners are sore Losers
Just because we lost to a field goal. Does not mean we are sore losers. We are sore to the fact that wrong calls where made. That put us in that position that we had to kick a field goal just to win. P.S. onside kick has to lest go ten yards. That ball did not even go that far!
