Sorry about being off-topic.... but I hate it. It makes me feel like crap, I act like a zombie all day, and I can't fall asleep at night because of it. It's really no fun and I'm going to try and get some kind of non-stimulant version because it sucks.

Also all caps is obnoxious.

Re: Keeping 1 eye open for playoffs

It's a long season--you never know who's going to get hot and who's going to swoon. So much as I appreciate your analysis here, there are too many variables to make it reliable right now.

As for the skins, it's most definetly one game at a time! We're going to be underdogs at home against Jax, IMO. And they're smarting over a loss to Indy. It's a very tough game.

Agreed. The only thing I'm worried about is the bad ass D that's coming to town this week. If we keep wining every thing else will take care of itself.

Close that eye on the playoffs and worry about the next game... The Skins proved last year that they can get on a roll with alot less talent than this team has... But a win against Texas proves nothing.

I said it last week, I'll say it again this week: The Redskins are going 11 - 5 and will be in the playoffs.

I agree, and start playoff threads in December. Right now our backs are against the wall, trying to get to 500.

Chicago 13-3 (home field, divisional benefit)
Seattle 12-4

Minnesota 11-5 B/c they see GB,Det,NYJ,STL,SF,AZ--they have it cake.
Redskins-11-5 And that is with many miracles**** We would lose tie to Minn.
Dallas 9-7 *miracle
NYG 9-7 *miracle
Phi 8-8 *miracle
Everyone in the NFC east is gonna destroy each others records and health to make it, we already lost round 1 and are still at the bottom. If that doesnt motivate our guys I dont know what will. And the East is going to be within reach all during the season.

There will be more miracles needed for the Skins to get into the playoffs than what I usually witness to happen. It seems wildcard will be already spoken for by better record and less deserving teams like Minnesota, and either Atl or Carolina. Carolina surely has the tougher schedule and could be a victim to miss out. I think from here on out Dallas, Philly, NYG, Skins are gonna be dead even on the schedule, hopefully philly will be the sure team to drop and wont recover but I dont see that unfolding till midseason, Dallas will not live past their Giants game, Giants will probably run neck and neck with us if we overcome our part of the schedule. Meaning we are both 1-2 , but we have already lost a divisional game and havent seen the colts yet (probably our toughest game, not physical, but toughest to win). The Skins def. have to battle but our bye is pushed back this year, if we do make it to the playoffs who knows what type of shape the team will be in, its just another hurdle to overcome.

From here on out we will know how we stand on these matters because we cant afford to drop another one before the bye week. And after the bye we have 4 more divisional games, Im saying it is crucial now, b/c it will be so hard not to topple later.
Already week 3 and the drama is choking me.
this thread should be blown up for even dreaming of da bears going 13-3. you must be out of your mind. who have the bears played?

Re: Keeping 1 eye open for playoffs

It's not like the Bears have a killer schedule remaining though. Home against Seattle (without Alexander), Buffalo, San Fran, Green Bay, even the Tampa game is looking like an easy win right now. Away games at Detroit, Jets, Arizona.

I don't think 13-3 is a stretch at all

Too early but I will be shocked if we overtake Mean Green (Eagles) this year. I wouldn't call the Giants being 9-7 a miracle. They should be 0-3, their defense sucks, and they are splitting at the seams. Big D is overrated and so is Minnesota (They could easily be 0-3).
