Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)
Well, I could defend him, because I usually would at this point.
I will say this. I expected better from him today. But I'm also not ignorant enough to expect him to be the savior of a team that just got outplayed at home by the NFLs worst team. I don't know what part of this situation would indicate to you that Jason Campbell would be able to win games. The offense moved the ball today w/Brunell. They scored 3 TDs. The problems with this team are all on defense. This team couldn't stop my high school team on third down (and they usually stop themselves). Brunell hasn't cost this team ANY games. That's not defending him really, that's just blatently obvious. He was 16/30 for 180 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT today. That's not that good. So I'm not going to sit here and act like Brunell had some sort of great day. But if you really think that statline is why we lost and that Jason Campbell would solve all problems, then you really don't know what you are watching. At all. |

dude you need to start editing your posts. The edit button is there so you don't have to post 5 times in a row.
@Gtripp: Good point. There's more problems with this defense then there are with M.B. right now. It's just he's not consistent anymore. With the game on the line, we needing 3 points to tie the game and potentially send it to overtime, I expect my 14 year veteran quarterback to know what we have to do to win this game. I expect him to make smart decisions with the ball when the game is on the line. And throwing the ball to Moss when he's covered by like 5 guys is not a smart decision.

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)
You have a point. But at the end of the day, we got him because of his "veteran' leadership. The game was there to be won at the end. Brunell could not make the DOWNFIELD throws to pull it off. My God, is Santana Moss the only fuckin reciever on the filed? Everybody in the damn stadium knew who he was lookin for, including the Titans! Then to throw into triple coverage................some veteran leadership!Hail from Nashville!

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)
You act as if the Titans had a stellar D! They didn't. Why could we not move the ball when we needed to? I'll tell you why, we dinked and dunked all day. Then when we trail late in the 4th, we tried to open it up. you know it was Brunell that burned a valuable timeout cause he couldn't get the play called and run in time. I'm not asking for miracles, just do your fucking job, veteran leader! Who's next on the list of QB hopefuls.........Vinny Testaverde? Face it GTripp0012, Brunell Sucks!!!!!!!!! HAIL From Nashville!

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)
Getting the plays off in time doesn't appear to be all on Brunell. It's been an issue the past couple of weeks, with Brunell acting visibly upset at times that the plays aren't coming in quick enough.

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)
Was Brunell responsible for Travis Henry ripping off 178 yards? Was Brunell responsible for CP getting a mere 15 carries?
I'm not saying Brunell had a great game by any stretch of the imagination. Fact is this defense failed miserable and has done so all season. We gave up 25 points to a QB with 3 starts and one of the worst offenses in the entire NFL.
