LT has proven to be a much better WR than CP at this point, so he deserves more money, since as RBs they're comparable.

both are great. Portis hasnt had to be the number one back and receiver for a team yet the way LT had to do. and no matter what smack he talks he istn going to be this teams nubmer one receiver either. he'll get plenty of receptions, but we still have great receivers.

Tomlinson did say something to that effect during the season last year and was not disciplined by the league but was told that he was brushing up very close to a line he must not cross in his comments. Just as teams cannot "tamper", players under contract are not supposed to say that kind of stuff during a season either.
Now here comes the weirdness. The Chargers now say that they have reached "agreement in principle" with Tomlinson's agent for a long term contract extension that will make him the highest paid RB in NFL history. Everytime I get frustrated by the Skins' FO bobbles, I look to the FOs in Arizona and Cincy and San Diego and realize that the nadir of human competence resides elsewhere - - - thankfully. |
