Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass
Well our free agents did not do all that great, but they are getting better. I still hope that Archuletta can find a way to be valuable to us. He can start by sacking McNabb. I was impressed by Randel El and Brandon Loyd seems to at least catch the ball when it is thrown to him.

I think that Lloyd had a great game against Dallas.

If it wasn't for the phantom holding call and the PI on RW, he finishes with well over a hundred yards and a touchdown.

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass
yeah, lloyds looked good in spots... his blocking has really stood out too. He does go invisible at times though, while El has a way of making his presence known. i'm still not sure we needed both (patten can still play a bit), but it does give us great depth.
with the contract structure they're really cheap for 3 years, and then they start counting something like 5mill a year, which will suck. |

Re: Free Agents Kicking Ass
And I think the passion is there as well. All the SF fans think he dropped balls on purpose, and didn't have passion for the game. But I remember one point on the sideline, after Novak missed the first field goal, you could see Lloyd and ARE right kneeling right next to each other. You could see the look of disappointment on their faces, and it seems like Lloyd had the face of "I wish I could do something to help us win", and ARE was like "It's all good playa, you tried your best."
Althought Lloyd may not have the best numbers this season, what he did in the Dallas game was crucial.

Hey, lets not forget that Troy Vincent was a free agent aquasition. I also think that although Carter had no recorded sacks, he had a decent game.

carter's gotten better for sure, but he's still not good, and he's still not playing up to his contract...

if we just wanted to say, "see how awesoem the skins are" and never disagree... well, we wouldn't need a board for that, now would we? |
