Re: The Skins 2007 draft
We're going to sign either Freeney (long shot) or Clements in the offseason.

Re: The Skins 2007 draft
why isnt clements on that list? freeny isnt coming and we dont have cap space id assume. ty warren would be a solid dt, and maybe go for one of the DEs if they can come at a cheaper price. id love clements tho

Re: The Skins 2007 draft
Resign Duckett, Make a modest play for Kris Dielman, See if Josh Brown can be had at a reasonable price for a kicker, and I'd take Ike Taylor, Aaron Glenn or Nick Harper to play CB...I'm not sold on Rogers. I think Dockery is going to look for too much money relative to his level of consistent play, but if he is reasonable, resign him too. As far as the rest of free agency goes, I say keep building from within.

One of your better post 61cad.
I think we go after a CB, bc we are gonna eventually part with Springs, and at that point Rogers will become the vet, while he trains the newb that we have drafted(he will train him in his speciality:catching).

Re: The Skins 2007 draft
just what we need to do...lets throw more money at free agents. Havent we all learned that just isnt the way to field a good team. Money cant buy cohesion which is what the skins lack.

Re: The Skins 2007 draft
polian will keep freeney in indy. DE is deep this draft, and clements is probably going to be the best free agent available. outside of that, bidwell would be nice, but brandon fields (draftee) would be much cheaper. we won't be in position to draft a good kicker, and the FAs aren't great either...
lots of interesting options at DT and LB... keeping the price down and spending a year clearing our cap overhead might be a better idea though (unless giving the 80-year old donnie edwards $40mill in guarantees turns you on ). |
