same here cuz all summer the one thing i've heard the most fans clamoring for is a passrushing specialist but now that there's one(all be it somewhat wounded) who has a very productive career, no one seems to want us to go get him cheap. his injury should be healed in a month or so and he would provide very solid depth at de once he returns and could be another playmaker on the defensive side. I ask what would it hurt to cut one player from our enormous te/h-back pool and sign a player who could be a pretty good pickup at one of our weakest spots?

I concur he did have 6.5 sacks last year and if we can get him cheap why not. But I do keep hearing how are starting defense has played the first halfs of the preason games and has yet to give up a touchdown, and has had 5 turnovers. that is pretty good and hopefully that trend stays true.

Couldn't he be picked up and put on an 'unable to perform' list. I think it is called PUP?
That way he would not take up an active roster spot until he is healthy and we would not have to cut a D-lineman until he is healthy. |

i thought IR was 5 weeks minimum not a year... couldn't find it in ten minutes on nflpa...
but i did find out that 3 weeks on an active roster and you can get our club to repay 15,000$ spent towards college education... |
