I don't think you should be saving every lunch and grocery receipt. These are the items you can claim as part of your sales tax deduction. I don't think you can claim the tax paid on that big screen TV but you should check on that with a CPA. Checkout the IRS' tool to help you calculate your sales tax deduction.
