Cutting Fauria saved us $1.0 million (on the nose) in cap space.
Cutting David Patten would actually cost us cap space ($2.2 million to be exact). If we cut him as a post-June 1 cut, we'd save $1.3 million this year, and then take a $3.5 million deadcap hit next season. Chances are Patten will be back, but I've seen stranger things happen.
