Where were we last year. (Cap Situation)

I thought it would be nice to take a look back at where we were last year with respect to our cap.

We ended up with 14 mil after cuts, renegotiations, and salary cap increase.

It cost ~8.3 million to sign Arch, Randle El, Lloyd, Carter, Fauria, and Collins.

We have about 6 mil now, but we could free up another 6 in a hurry. I don't think that Snyder is going to feel like he can't afford any 1 or 2 players in 2007, regardless of the cost.

Redskins work the numbers

Just some info to throw out there for free agency eve!

Good find.

The key this season is to make sure our deals are not only friendly on this season, but also on the next two seasons. Our cap situation is grim, but only over 2008 and 2009. We have to be careful to not push our problems any farther into the future.

So we can add a 1-3 key FAs this year, and all other contracts have to be reasonable.

Good info. I don't think DANNY BOY will mind spending big coin for several key guys we NEED on the D line.

However, I think this year we will end up with PROVEN guys, that can do there job.
