As I've previously stated as long as its not an offensive player. If they deem that we need another LB, then oh well. They know their weaknesses better than we do.

I admit they know more scouting info about personal players, but I think the smarter members on this forum(not saying you arent, I think you would fit in that category) can see that with offseason aqurring of Flecther and last years pick of Rocky, along with Washington seems solid. No need to waste a 1st rounder on LBs.

While I agree, you have to question why they were looking at Brigg's

Me too, but that still doesn't answer why the were looking at him in the first place. They obviously know something we don't

Or maybe they have false idea of building the team via free agency, and have not learned from the errors and the insane cap hits to come...

Judging by our lack of blockbuster flops this offseason, I think they are starting to get the picture.

Ponder this. what if they are looking for another LB in the event that London Fletcher doesn't pan out or gets hurt and they have to move Lemar back inside. Maybe they are not comfortable with Mcintosh yet.

Ok well the first situation is idiotic IMO. If we think Fletcher will be prone to get hurt, or we have doubts about his ability dont pay him tons of money. His market value would be much lower too if that is the case.

And if they arent comfortable with Rocky, I would think they should give him more starting time to see if he pans out. And if he doesnt then they shouldnt have been soo agressive in drafting him

Well, it is not like it is uncharacteristic of them to get a MLB and it not work out IE Michael Borrow. They had to pay Fletcher to get him here. If you remember he was hurt last year, but was still considered one of the top LB's in FA this offseason. That is what determined his value. They believe that he is the man for the job, otherwise they wouln't have signed him. But knowing what has happened to them in the past I wouldn't be suprised if they try to cover their ass with the aforementioned scenario. As far as Rocky is concerned he is viewed as a future starter. But maybe the coaches don't feel he is ready yet.

Once again, this is only food for thought. There is no factual information supporting my speculation.

Re: Your Opinion on this Draft Scenario...

I would love to make a deal to move down a couple spots and still get the defensive player we need. If we trade to atlanta or buffalo we could still probobly have our pick of Okobi, Branch, anderson and Carriker will be there for sure. If we got a second or third round pick we could address the much needed guard issue that dockery left behind.

Possible Draft:

Round 1 (12th): DE Jarvis Moss (he's my flavor of the week, probably won't go that high though)

Round 3 (74th): OG Josh Beekman

Round 3 (92nd): DT (don't know who)

Round 5 (133rd-our own pick): DB CJ Gaddis?

Round 6 (166th-our own pick): ILB Nate Harris

Round 6 (184th): SS (don't know who)

Round 6 (189th-from Bears): TE (some big blocker dude)

Round 7 (our own pick): WR Keeley Hazell
