Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
Visa would be the big fish to grab I would think.
DEI should give the kid his fricking #8 I say with all that's going on. Imagine the fan hate for that team to not let him have the number if he wanted it. I don't know if he does. I'd like to see him race for JGR personally. Good fit I say. peace

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
What DEI needs to do is realize their mistake, offer Junior what he wants, and move forward with him in charge.

This won't happen. His stepmom is as arrogant as his daddy was. I still think he heads to RCR and drives the #3. Although I would have to think about cheering for the guy if he gets in a Gibbs car.

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
I doubt it will happen. I think she is willing to take a back seat and let Jr. and his siter run the show but she wants them TO PAY for the 51% share when Sr. started and built the company FOR THEM. The company, while not legally, is morally theirs and she should have realized that. To have asked for them to pay for their share is a slap in the face in my opinion. She should have simply given it to them. Greedy ass woman is going to lose a lot more money now the Jr. is gone. I am serious, they are going to go straight into the tank. Who hell would drive for them? No quality driver would. They don't put money into the operation and she has continually shown that she is simply greedy. 3 or 4 years ago they had good cars. This was in the immediate aftermath of Sr's death when they were still operating with the resources that Sr. had set up. Now she doesn't put near the resources into the team. Hell DEI uses a lot of JR racings equipment because they are too cheap to buy it themselves. That's right, Jr. lends the team his own personal equipment because she is too cheap. Seriously. There is a reason that she is known as a "deadbeat" owner. Because she is. Now she can have a deadbeat team.

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
Oh, I know it won't happen...it's a shame that the empire Senior left will be in ruin once Junior goes elsewhere.

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
Word is he would drive the #33, not the #3

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
If he goes to RCR they should trade the 3 for the 8. Then she can have the 3 as part of DEI which seems appropriate and the 8 can continue to be Jr's. She could market the 3 and make more money off it than she could the 8 anyways. Seems fair to me. We do know she is all about the money. I don't know if that is even allowed though.

Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing?
He should drive the #33 Sling'n Sammy Baugh car for Coach Joe Gibbs then.
