Riding a bike is not like driving a car, you really need to take the time to learn how to handle the bike safely in all conditions. That means formalized training and discipline to ride within your limits. As a long time rider I cringe when I hear people make blanket statements about riding motorcycles as stupid. Not learning how to ride safely and riding too fast for conditions are the problem, not the bike itself. The same would apply to drivers who roll their SUV's at 100mph without a seatbelt...the problem was the decisions made by the driver, not the vehicle itself. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. |
