You're right about that, and I was thinking about whether or not this counts as an answer to the question when I started this thread.
On the one hand, the question was about Smoot, so I do feel that he's in a position to answer it.
But on the other hand, it was posed to Gibbs so he is probably the only one who actually holds the Golden Key.

Like I said before, maybe Smoot is just trying to fool all of us. I bet that either the CIA or the Stone Masons put him up to it.
