I think if you are really into Japanese games like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear than it might make sense to consider the ps3, but that's the only reason I can think of. XBOX seems better for pretty much everything else， from online play to title selection.

Skinsfan, what's up with NCAA and Madden being scaled back? I hadn't heard about that?
