"The report showed that 7-year-old Daniel Benoit had four times the normal dose of Xanax, a common tranquilizer, and more than the combined amount in the bodies of his parents, said Dr. Kris Sperry, Georgia's top medical examiner."

Benoit had high testosterone level | ajc.com

I'm kind of irked that they're trying to defend steroids so much. Is it that big of a deal to admit that steroids was probably the main cause for his mental / emotional stress.

Obviously his lifestyle is high stress to begin with, but combining that with substances known to cause instability really opens up the door for something like this to take place.

His testosterone levels were 54 times higher than normal. That's abuse, and likely the mechanism for the horrible chain reaction that took place.

I really think the hammer needs to be going down on this shit in the first place. I've known so many people through playing high school and collegiate sports that have gone overboard... trying to be "friggin huge". Steroid abuse is probably a lot more common than most people think.

Honestly I'm irked that everytime someone flips out the media blames it on roid rage. Let me tell you someting about roid rage. It's a bunch of BULLSHIT. This guy was a sick fuck to begin with. Trust me, the juice had nothing to do with it. Chris Benoit had mental problems whether he was doing juice or not.

Obviously more research needs to be done, and I was jumping the gun on my last post.

However, I think that steroid use is a bigger problem than most people think. It's such a stupid thing to do, and I've had a few good friends become obsessed with trying to be as big as possible, and just losing focus on the big picture. It's really sad.

`There is conflicting scientific data as to whether or not testosterone creates mental disorders or leads to oubursts of rage. There's data that suggests it and other data that refute it. Esssentially, I think it's an unanswerable question.''
