Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
ESPN - Childress, Belichick have words - NFL
Interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes between coaches. As Denzel said in the movie Training Day, "the shit's chess, it ain't checkers." |

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
everyday i get proved to me that Bill Bilichik is an a**hole. i laugh when people call him a genius. if Drew Bledsoe doesn't get hurt, who knows what happens with the patriots

Belichick: A genius among a field of retards.
Yeah, he will outcoach half the guys out there, but when your coaching breatheren are guys like Jack Del Rio, Mike Shanahan, and Tom Coughlin...well you can see that doing a little bit of work can give you a huge advantage on gameday. Also throw Childress in with that idiot crowd. Dear god, I've never seen an offensive guru load up a roster with so many horrible QBs! Kelly Holcomb?! WTF! |

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
BB may be a total asshole but give the guy credit. He is a great football coach. 3 SB's in 4 years speaks for itself. Especially in today's NFL. Who says he wouldn't have put Bledsoe on the bench? Plus one SB NE's whole secondary was injured and they still won it. Had any Redskin coach did this we all would be calling the guy a genius and you know it. Plus BB was d-coordinator on two other SB teams. Bottom line is he is a great football coach and a total dickhead. How come Redskin fans can't seem anyone else credit except Joe Gibbs? Jeez.

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
Why the harsh words for him w/out at least saying he's done a great job?
On a side note, I've posted it before & will again; I don't see the Pats as contenders, I think they'll win 9, maybe 10, but will have some losses where Brady & his wr's don't see eye to eye. One of those games will be against us! |

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
A hypothetical. If Belechek knew a star player was on steroids would he
a) immediately demand that the player submit to a league test, or b) draw on his years of experince to help the player cheat the system and not get caught.

Generally speaking, I'll bet most, if not all, NFL coaches "help" players get around the system when it comes to testing. |

I'm not really up to speed on the Harrison thing, so it's purely hypothetical. I would put forth Joe Gibbs and Tony Dungey as two examples who would do "A". But I agree many, many coaches would do "B".

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
I would say Gibbs and Dungy are definitely at the top of that list that would do A. I might, might throw Lovie and Herm Edwards in there too.

Re: Belichik, Childress Have Tense Conversation
I am pretty sure Gibbs would do A too.
