Re: Name your week 1 MVP
I don't know guys. We were missing Springs all day yesterday and they only put up 13 points on us. I'm pretty satisfied all the way around with the D. I mean they put the ball in the air THIRTY EIGHT TIMES for an average of not even six yards a pass. Seems like the guys were doing their jobs to me.

Re: Name your week 1 MVP
CP was #1 MVP. For all of the reasons above.

Re: Name your week 1 MVP
I gotta go with Mr. Portis.
He came out strong, after many questioned his ability to be the feature back anymore. He had our only TD. His pass blocking was a huge factor in the little pressure JC recieved. He is instrumental to our Offense. He is our Offense, He has been our Offense, and will be all season. Without him JC doesnt progess smoothly and we dont have a RB that can put up 6. He's The Man. This season should be built around him, and from that should come our fabled explosive offense. |

Re: Name your week 1 MVP
I would have to say Randle El just because he was the only reciever that really did anything the entire game. He consistantly moved the chains and provoided a deep recieving option. Brandon Llyod was nonexistant and Moss had butterfingers even though Campbell missed him a couple of times. I would like to see this unit succeed as a whole than just having one guy do all the work. Where was Cooley that entire game? Randle El had less than 400 yards all last year and already has over 150 in one game...we need balance and consistency in the passing game.

Re: Name your week 1 MVP
My is Heyer...why? Will how many times have we had a top lineman go down and his replacement just kill us. Just look at our last play-off game starter goes down[who was a back up Brown] and had a 3rd stringer be blown up!!! Heyer was up against a all Pro and did very well! If we lost that game it would have Not been him like it has been in past games when a top lineman goes down! Yes He has a long way to go but he man he looks better then our left starting tackle his first year. Side not I think right tackel is a much better fit the the left side!

Re: Name your week 1 MVP
CP played like the beast he is -- gotta love the block he layed but considering how long its been since we had a consistent kicker i have to go with Suisham -- also props to the play calling, we had a very balanced offense and if Moss had found his stickum before the half our passing would have been quite a bit higher than rushing
