that type of scheme only works when you are running the ball effectively for first downs, which we weren't. run, run, pass is what led us to 3 and outs...... note, when i say run, run, pass i include little dump passes (designed) as runs, as they were just as ineffective yesterday...

Re: I hope this is a wake up call
only bc they forced 3 turnovers...otherwise they were very generous...didn't make stops...though that prob. has a lot to do with the O not being able to stay on the field.

Not sure how you came up with that. The only example I could think of in all of Gibbs years coaching is Ramsey and we see what he has done sense then. Last year the argument is that he was sticking too long to Brunell.

Re: I hope this is a wake up call
JC played OK at best he had so many wide open WR's I got the feeling he was starring down one WR for the whole play. I can think of about 6 to 8 times that he had a man wide open and dumped off a pass to someone else for a short to no gain. I understand that its only his 10th start but if he is starring down WR's the coaching staff needs to work on that with him. It was so bad my wife even asked why he was not throwing the ball to these WR's.

Nice comeback I really like the way Barber runs, he's one tough bastard. Every time I watch him he's getting gang tackled and never gives up or slows down.

Re: I hope this is a wake up call
We are in good shape, everyone in that locker room understands they let one get away, after we had the ggirls right where we wanted them at the half way point.
We will come back STRONG after the break! There is NO wake up call needed!
