i thought that blind guys and deaf mutes could have officated better than the morons out there monday night did.when those guys miss or fail to call plays like that they need to be punished just like players and coaches are by the league.of all the redskins and cowboy games i have seen, that was the worst all around officiated game out of all of them.

Absolutely not. When you have 1st down on the one and can't get the TD in 3 tries, you don't throw away 4 points. But I would like to see them use Betts on short yardage plays like that. Portis is a great runner, but he is not a power back at all.

you fail three times in a row and pray you make it on a 4th try? nah, not unless you're behind and you NEED it...

From today's Washington Times:

Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs yesterday expressed displeasure with a pair of officiating calls in Washington's 21-18 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, and the NFL responded by conceding its crew made two mistakes.
A club source said league officials reviewed the two plays in question — a pass interference call on Redskins cornerback Walt Harris in the first quarter, and a no-call on a deep pass to Rod Gardner in the fourth quarter. The league conceded error in both cases.

Great, tell us something we didn't already know, NFL. The whole world saw two horrible calls, the whole world except the refs on the field I guess.

I even had a cowgirl fan come into work yesterday and tell me that the refs practically gave the cowboys that td and took another potential one away from us.

at least the roids can't talk trash after this one, would have rather won it, but those were just so blatantly wrong... I didn't agree with the return fumble either, but whatever.

I agree. That call was wrong, too, but not as blatant, so it is not getting talked about. When you see someone clearly drop on a ball then there is a pileup, the guy that ends up with control gets it. Period. And to make the fumble call worse, with slo-mo Tivo, it appears he fell on the ball but never got it under control with his hands or arms. He was trying to when he was hit and it squirted out.
