still overall an impressive first half for us on both sides of the ball... i didn't like our last O series though... i would have been happier going for the throat and trying to put up another 7 points

We would have if our three runs had netted a first down.

Anyway, thats the answer to why it was stupid for Detriot to burn their final two timeouts. Because 15 seconds left on the clock for your offense if you are succesful is a stupid thing to strive for when the cost of failure is a minute for the Redskins to throw for 40 yards with two timeouts.

If they had 3 TO's it would have been different, but they couldn't stop the clock on third, so it ended up just being stupid. They are lucky it didn't cost them 3 more points.

I didn't get the purpose behind Detroit using their time-outs on Def either but I tell myself, "Who am I to argue with stupidity?"
