The best way to gauge any of our defensive players is by the complete job the entire unit does.
Think the linebacking corps looks better? That's partly because the line is getting more pressure, and the secondary isn't forcing them into extra coverage. Think the safeties are doing well? Without the improvements up front, they'd be playing too close - and without healthy and active corners, they'd be attempting to double receivers, rather than playing soft. My point is that the best way to look at Laron is to see what the guy next to him is doing. He's doing his own job, not covering for the kid.
