I think this site should prepare themselves for a lot of "poor playcalling" posts. We yet again, are playing conservative and are not trying to move the ball. I still think it will work because our D is stout, but this is no way to win on a consistant level.

Well people keep using the offensive line as an excuse, which I think is pretty inexcusable.

Do you think JC being injured have anything to do with it? Said he got a bruised wrist on his throwing hand from the GB game.

Why is that inexcusable?

Not so much inexcusable as a crutch.

As soon as things go sour, "Oh, it's the injuries". Good teams play injured, sick, headless, whatever.

Like I said, how to teams like the Pats, Jacksonville, Indy, get things done with or without injuries and the Skins can't?

I'm not sure what those teams injury situations look like but I'm sure if any of them were missing 3 starters along their offensive lines they might struggle too.

True.

But I'm not debating that the Skins shouldn't struggle. I can understand that.

Just that they need to get their consistency together. The Defense can't pull them out of sticky situations every game. Something's gonna give and it's not gonna be pretty. I just fear for that moment.

I don't see how you can say it's a crutch. It's an obvious problem for us, and it's unrealistic to expect our offense to come out looking like New England or Indy when we're playing back ups to back ups on our offensive line. It all starts in the trenches, and if we're not getting the push up front, it's going to be hard to move the ball on the ground or in the air.

You can't tell me our injuries would not have an affect on our offense. And out of all of those teams, how many of them are playing with one starter on their offensive line?

Okay.

This isn't worth arguing over. I'm just saying that the Redskins have a consistency problem, injuries be damned.

I don't know why people are attacking me like I said the Redskins should be the new Pats or anything. It's not like I expect them to come out and score 30+ points every game. I'm just saying they shouldn't be afraid to take shots sometimes and when they DO, to actually be consistent. And that injuries should have no affect on that.

I digress.

I think injuries are a big reason for inconsistency.

That's a strong possibility.

Re: Cardinals vs Redskins game thread

I am so pissed right now.

This is frustrating. I understand the injuries, but there are other plays that can be run beside, quick ins, runs, screens.

We can't always expect our D to bail us out in games. Ex. Packers game.
