Late comer here, I think a large part of the injury issues have to fall on the shoulders of John Hastings. The off season programs have always shown a huge turnout and participation (I think it was 98% again this year?) so you have to wonder if he is not working enough flexibility and agility drills into the workout program. Remember one of the things that allowed Ray Brown to play into his 40's and remain so strong and agile was his flexibility, I read somewhere he would work Pilates into his workout routines and it helped him avoid a lot of the pulled and torn muscle injuries that we are seeing now.

The fact is that there are so many different players (now we hear that Cartwright is dinged up with a quad injury) playing so many different positions, the only common thread is the type of injury and the guy responsible for making sure they don't occur.
