My prediction:
Gibbs and Saunders finally take the handcuffs off of JC...Moss discovers he does have hands again...and Portis figures out how to stay upright. ST and Landry catch Moss over the middle and give him the Malachi Crunch knocking him out early in the 1'st quarter and Rogers and Smoot get 2 INTs each as they double cover Stallworth like a blanket. The result: Redskins - 42 Patriots - 7 Will it happen? Probably not...but what the hell, I'm an optimist and we really have no downside this weekend. Aside from a chance at more injuries which we take a chance on every week anyway. Screw it! We get blown out, it's expected, we cover or win, we shock the world.

Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions
I smell a stench. I detect a lot of cow pukes on this thread. The cow pukes have nothing better to do on their bye week but to try and rile up the Redskin fans. We know the Redskins are up against a juggernaut, in evidence of how the Pats dogged the Cowgirls. But the one thing that the Skins have that the Girls don't, is defense. We have won with defense before and that's our only chance on Sunday.

Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions
The Patriots have been on a roll this season (as well as other seasons), but even with that being said, The Redskins rarely ever get shut out of a "Big" game. If anything, I have witness Redskins upsetting a lot of great teams even with a losing record through out the season. One thing you need to understand, with Gibbs saying we are the underdog in the history of sports, he does that on purpose. Trust me, Gibbs and all of the head coaches are going to bring Redskins in this game well practiced and well prepared. It will be a good game.
Back in 2003, The Patriots fell to the Redskins 20-17 with Tom Brady starting. I think Tom Brady was picked off 3 times with interceptions. It is possible that it can happen again. After they suffered that loss, the Patriots had a wake up call and became very dominant. In history, The Patriots has never defeated the Redskins in over 35 years. It is called a curse! Whether it is Colts, or Patriots, it is very hard for a team to go undefeated the whole entire season. The last team that went undefeated in the regular season was the Miami Dolphins and that was like back in 1972. I personally feel this will be a good game. I don't think that if the Redskins DO win, it will be an "upset." These teams both of winning records. The Redskins COULD of been 5-0 because of the leading in the 2nd half. That is in the past and every team has flaws! Remember, this is the NFL people. Anything can happen! I've seen numerous times! Stop predicting against your team and actually start supporting it! Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions
Welcome to the boards, NinjaLink. Good post. Are you sure the Pats have never beaten the Skins?

Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions
Patriots website:
The Patriots have not defeated the Redskins since 1972 and have lost six consecutive games to Washington. After the Redskins, the team against which the Patriots have their longest victory drought is the New York Giants, a team that they last defeated in 2003. The Patriots' six-game losing streak against Washington is their longest current losing streak against any opponent. The Patriots' next longest losing streak to an opponent is three games (Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos). Thanks for the welcome! |

1) I post regularly on this board because of friends and co-workers. 2) You might be right, I hate the Pats because Dallas recently lost to them but there is nothing that would make a Cowboys fan want the Skins to win (unless it would help the Cowboys get into the playoffs, even then it would be iffy) 3) Oh yeah, bandwagon riders, for three straight years they went 5-11, 12 years since they won the SB, what a great ride that was! Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions
You are my comrade in battle. I can't stand a so-called fan predicting what Parcells or someother bandwagon jackass has to say about the Patriots. It takes a real fan to stand with his team especially when they have shown signs of greatest on both sides of the ball. The Colts defense sucked last year and they lost several games but when it really clicked it clicked.

Or are you just talking out of your A**, just because the Patriots gave your (Black and) Blue Stars an A** kicking. And just to make it clear I'm NOT laughing WITH you. |

If I was the redskins I would be pumped up to play a team like the Patriots, that everyone is saying might be the best ever. All I would say with a game face is - wait after the game. But that's just me. |
