I think it was Simms yesterday that said there's a reason why you don't see a QB with great numbers on a bad team. |

http://www.redskinswarpath.com/locke...r-manning.html Fans like to talk about this stuff. More so, as I said, when it involves their own team/players. Also, rankings/lists are not exclusive to ESPN

Re: Brady-Manning, I never understood why it made sense to debate something like that. Now that Brady is finally putting together a season that even Manning was never able to accomplish before, you'd think that the debate would even be stronger among fans. I think fans are just tired of it. They want to know either: where these guys rank among the all time greats, or if anyone else deserves to be thrown into the same category. The debate is still stupid, but for very different reasons now than before. Still, if you are paid analyst, people want to know your opinion on this to see where you stand.

Re: Manning vs. Brady
Is it wrong that when I first read the thread title I got all excited to read some arguments about which QB was better?
I was kind of disappointed when I actually read it. And now I feel like Matty doesn't want me here.

For the record I'd take Manning if I was starting a franchise. Not to take anything away from Brady, I think they are both 1 and 1a as far as the top QBs in the game go. They are the modern day Marino and Montana, and perhaps in time they will both prove to be better than those two, who knows. |

Re: Manning vs. Brady
I have had arguments about this before with my friends. My only argument is that Manning is not better than Brady. That doesn't mean Brady is better than Manning. I hesitate to say they are equivalent, because I don't think any players are equivalent. I think Manning is better at reading defenses and game day preparation, while Brady has more pocket presence. I also think Manning is generally more intelligent than Brady, but that's just a hunch 'cause I don't know either one personally.
So, I think this is a topic of interest among fans, but not as much as the media would like you to believe.

Re: Manning vs. Brady
Brady dates hotter chicks, so +1 for him.
He's also a douchebag, so -2.

Re: Manning vs. Brady
Does anyone have an explanation for how Brady can be such a great QB, and yet still seem like such a piece of shit?

Re: Manning vs. Brady
That's a good question. Manning does all the endorsements, and Brady generally keeps his mouth shut and stays out of the lime-light. However, for some reason he seems like an arrogant prick and Manning seems like a great guy. It is bewildering.
