This is the part that pisses me off. People equate being southern or country (I'm REALLY reserving the word "redneck trash") with liking the Cowboys.

Why?

Because there's nothing that validates you being "country" more than liking a Cowboy. Why? Because Cowboys are what being country is all about.

Sure there are country people everywhere who like all teams, but I don't think many people can deny that MANY Cowboy fans tend to lean on the redneck side of the fence.

Pats are AFC anyway, who the hell cares about this game! We need to be healthy to have a chance against NFC opponents, especially till Thomas gets back and we can reestablish the running game.

I already hate this f'n game. If we can get through w/o major injuries I'll consider it a win for us (I already predicted CP gets seriously injured in this game, and I still think it's going to happen).
Actually, with the way the Pats score, probably not.

1) I think the Skins D backfield can handle Brady and the recievers
...I'm giving them 1 D touchdown
2) Skins special teams will come up big

3) don't underestimate field goals

4) The O just can't lose it and give the D time to rest!

Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions

OK, I played the game on Madden yesterday.

The Pats won 24-15. I NEVER lose on Madden. Is this a bad sign?

Highlights:

Campbell efficient except for late 4th-qtr INT, TD pass to Moss and one to Betts

Skins running game shut down, but so was NE's except for one nice 15-20 yd run by Maroney

Our D was tough all game, especially on 3rd and 4th down

Brady to Stallworth for 67 yd TD was their only big offensive play

Taylor cleaned Moss' clock several times. Randy had a slow day

London Fletcher - stranied tricep in 1st quarter, missed rest of game, Blades filled in nicely.

Game was 0-0 late in in the 2nd quarter. NE missed an earlier FG. Suisham nailed a FG to put us up 3-0 going into half, NE took back the next kickoff to take a 7-3 halftime lead.

Who predicts serious injuries to key players on their favorite team? How morbid is that? You want to predict their deaths next?

WE need Cartwright to play if we want a good special teams performance

Re: Redskins v Patriots predictions

I was hoping for rain, but it seems the weather in Boston for Sunday will be sunny and 60 degrees. Too bad, since the Redskins have practiced in rain for two days and I believe the Patriots practice inside. We might have had an edge if it were bad weather.

Redskins 17, Patriots 10

We drag them down to our level...

I do a football picks with my friend and I sure as hell did not pick Dallas that week. Dallas secondary will suck until they put Linebacker 31 at the linebacker position. When they lost the game I was not upset at all.

Dallas might of had a chance in hell had Henry played, they didn't release Aaron Glenn, and if T New had been 100% I might of would of picked them to win.

I stop thinking that my fav team can win every game years ago. Its crazy to think that there going to win every time. You will stress yourself out and become upset week in and out. Sometimes you have to face the facts when there are glaring holes in your team at different positions, skill level, or coaching. When you do face the facts there will always be a glimmer of hope in the back of your mind that maybe just maybe they can pull it off.

Who said anything about "Country" "Redneck" etc. One can be "Country" and be from upstate New York and like the NYGiants. I think you missed the point. A lot of folks in those southern states back then only had the Cowboys to watch on TV. At least my folks did and thats why they are fans and others. Had the Chargers been on TV they would of been Charger fans. There are 32 NFL teams in 20 states but there are 50 states. I guess people in those Non NFL states should just like HS and College football?

Hey man, CP has been running gimpy (especially since the opener), he's holding the ball funky this season, and the hits to him just keep on coming. I mean I'm afraid he's gonna get seriously banged up, I'm not hoping for it.

If we didn't have so many offensive woes I would pick us, but we are just pathetic without a real decent WR corp and 3 O linemen down. That being said

Pats 28
Skins13

Kind of stereotypical, don't you think?

Like the stereotype that people from Virginia sleep with their sisters.

Is this a Giants' forum? I don't think so, so why don't you stop kissing up.

Based on what? What do you mean "just can't"? They can't play well and all of a sudden when they play what supposedly is the best team in the NFL they will be better just because you say they will?
