The reason the coverage is so tight is because there are only 2 real WR going into coverage...that is because we are lining up at the line instead of shotgun...you can flood the field with 3 WR with a RB safety valve in shotgun and have more options (decoys)
Portis is the perfect back for shotgun draws anyways...and hes a great blocker too. I cant believe they cant figure this out

We can't line up in the gun on every play though. It didn't even used to be in the playbook...

Well at least they are within 5 now. Hopefully a light will be lit under their butts and they can put this team away. Still doesn't bode well for the rest of the way though.
