Me, Gibbs, Cooley

I was moving some pictures around on my laptop and thought you guys would appreciate these...it was from the Nextel Allstar race back in May....my roommate here was tour managing the country artist Jamie O'Neal who sang the anthem...I just tagged along with the sole purpose of trying to meet Gibbs....needless to say, mission accomplished! He was a little stand-offish at first but when he saw my Redskins hat, he completely shifted gears and was like..."Hey how are you!??? Always glad to meet a Redskins fan!!" The pic with him pointing was him showing me where Cooley was and told me to go over and speak to him too....both guys were super nice. Steve Smith from the Panthers was the grand marshal that day or something....also very cool guy...actually talked to him for a few minutes.

Re: Me, Gibbs, Cooley

Has anyone met anyone on the team that wasen't cool? I mean there are guys everywhere that are complete tools, but I really have heard nothing but good things about this group of guys. I've had the pleasure of meeting an awful lot of them, and have had nothing but good stories. Sean Taylor and Mike Sellers have been my favorites.

I think that is a reflection of the attitude that is preached in Redskins Park, specifically the values emphasized by Joe Gibbs.

I really think a lot of these guys get how lucky they are to be playing this game for a living making insane money....they grow up watching it, as fans themselves, and then the chosen few get to become one.

Wow I haven't met any of the guys so I feel a little bit jealous. Amazing pics, you can see the Gibbs aura even in photographs.

Tony - so what is Taylor like off the field? He's one of my favorite players, but he keeps such a low profile with the press that we as fans hardly get a glimpse of his personality.
