Redskins vs. Eagles round II game thread

First off, thanks Gmanc for providing me with score updates. Today, fortunately (or unfortunately) I was able to follow the 2nd half of the game via NFL.com. Seems like we played both our best and worst game of the year today.

Offense looked like it had some really nice drives today. And Portis is absolutely back. But these drives have, HAVE, to end in touchdowns not field goals. And of course, we need to convert extra points.

Defensively...were we missing some players or something? Apart from Rogers and MW. And it seemed like every other play was a penalty on the Redskins D.

I think they should have punted the ball just prior to that last touchdown. I'm sure had we done so it would have been knocked as too conservative. But trailing just by 3 points and with the 2-minute warning remaining I wouldn't have taken that gamble so deep in our territory. Of course, who would have thought Campbell would fumble...again.

Tough, tough loss. It's never good to lose to a division opponent at home. And it's not like we can afford too many losses. Now we have to go out and win a game that no one expects us to (vs. Dallas, at NYG). The Redskins could act like half their fans and give up now, or they can get their shit together and move on to next week.

we suck.....if we played Miami again....we'd lose....hands down...we'd pass for 5,000 yards and 55 tds but still lose....b ecause we are a bad team...period....be an optimist ALL you want dude.....realism is REAL....we suck.....period.

Any given Sunday...any given sunday! It's not over until we are mathematically eliminated. Let's not forget we were 4-6 a couple years ago and ran off 6 straight wins to make the playoffs. We're 5-4 right now. It can be done. We looked good today. We gave the game away with dumb penalties, but why assume we won't go anywhere from here???
None of us wanted to lose this game...but what if...WHAT IF we actually beat the hated cowpatties next week???? Next thing you know, all those assholes will be saying we're on the road to the playoffs.

I don't think we suck. We have all the talent right where we need it most. I think we have a GLARING consistency problem. And I honestly don't know what they can do to correct that. I don't know if it's the players or the coaches, but it's something that needs to be seriously addressed in the off-season.

I'm not gonna go and say Dallas is gonna win the game next week, but the odds are in their favor. Next week we play one of the best teams in the conference and the Eagles play what many consider the NFL's worst team. If there ever was a time that we need to turn things around, this is it. Otherwise we're staring last place in the NFC East in the face.

I almost have a tear in my eye saying this because I grew up Idolizing Joe Gibbs...but this team just seems so unprepared every game...no 2 minute offense, no 2 minute defense, no grit, and no accountability...at what point is enough enough?

This season is toast. Sorry buds, but we will not win another divisional game this season and will only win 3 more games tops. 8-8 is the best I can see us at this point. Right now this team is going nowhere. Hindsight being 20/20, bringing in Gibbs was nothing more than a gimmick by Snyder to keep the Skin faithful in line. This guy is a hollow shell of what he was 15 years ago. If GW gets the HC job it will not only be game over but franchise over. GW isn't HC material. We need to bring Cowher in here if he is available.

Give the game to Dallas before we even play them....sickening. You need to be shot for that.

I wouldn't say they're not real fans. But many of them do make me sick as well. It's really frustrating to hear people complain all the time. And half the time, they have no idea what they're complaining about.

But still, no need at all to wish someone be shot.
