yeah perfect story line...last year the chargers was the team to beat..they embarrassed the pats in foxboro early on..then in the divisional the pats returned the favor to the chargers.now its a total role reversal.the pats are the team to beat who embarrased the chargers and chances are they will meet in the divisional...paybacks a b****.

No, I mean I wasn't born then so it doesn't bother me that much quite honestly. Don Shula openly roots against teams that are challenging his team's record, which is kind of lame (I believe you should be graceful in those situations) but that doesn't really bother me all that much either.
I think what gets to me about Shula is, and I could be wrong, that he seems to not want any Dolphins coach to succeed. Like it would tarnish his legacy.

Re: Time to face the music...The pats will finish out
I am so sick of the 72 Dolphins and all their nonsense. Sending Champagne to the coaches having parties to celebrate their record every year. Fitting they lose it the same season the Fish go 0-16. Assuming the Giants have their play-off spot locked up, I'll root for the Pats to finish 16-0.

I hope the Dolphins beat the Pats to go 1-15, and the Pats finish 15-1. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, either. Weird stuff like that happens in the NFL all the time.

I don't really get all the Pats hate on our board.. We're not division rivals or anything.. Sure they hung 94 points or something like that on us, but appreciate greatness when you see it.. It's a lot more bearable than the Cowboys in the '90's!!!

they dont carry themselves low at all.. if anything they are humble about killing every team they play. if you see them on PTI or Around the Horn or any show like that they dont talk smack or anything. they realize that they are a very good team.. but they also realize that they have a lot of work to do. and i appreciate that they dont go out sayin that no one can beat them.

These clowns "say" the right things but it's so obviously contrary to what they truly believe that you lose respect for them when you watch them. You know you're being lied to. I'd respect them alot more if they gave up the fake "we're just an ok team, trying to win a game like any other, hopefully we can handle the jets this week" bullshit and admitted that they were a) looking to make a point that their previous run of wins was not tainted and that b) they were specifically going to make the Jets sorry they ever brought up Spygate. I honestly never liked the patriots, but I never disliked them either. I was truly ambivalent. But Brady has gradually assumed his coach's personality and that's a bad thing. He's become very bitter and unhappy when he's interviewed, which makes you think, "if you're so unhappy in success, then you must be a truly miserable human being." The end effect is that now I root against them. I hope a team that appreciates success can be able to defeat them, because this whole "Patriot Way" b.s. is getting old.
